2015/2016 Program Outlines

Abbotsford Magnuson Ford Soccer Club is delighted to offer a range of “cradle to grave” programming that provides for all skill levels from grassroots to recreational to the elite high performance player.

AMFSC delivers youth programming for boys & girls from the U4 division up to U18.

Graduating youth players can continue on with their passion of the beautiful game by participating in our Senior Team program, which includes teams for both Men & Women in the Fall & Summer.

As a proud supporter of the Canadian Soccer Association’s (CSA) LTPD: Wellness to World Cup (long term player development), designed to provide players of ALL skill levels an opportunity to learn, grow and develop at their own individual pace, please see the following range of development programs that we provide to our membership.

GRASSROOTS I (U4-U7) 

FAMILY KICKS (U4/U5)

For players that turn 4 or 5 years of age in the year that the program runs. This Family Kicks program runs one day per week for a twelve (12) week period and requires parental participation.

Registration for the Family Kicks program runs from mid-February to June 15th

WEE KICKERS (U6) + LIL’ KICKERS (U7)

For players that turn 6 or 7 years of age in the year that the program runs. The program starts in early July and runs until the end of October. Player will play Tuesday and Thurs evenings during July & August and then switch to Tues/Sat (U6) and Thurs/Sat (U7) after the Labour Day weekend, until the end of October.

 

Registration for the Wee/Lil’ Kickers program runs from mid-February until June 15th

 

GRASSROOTS II (U8-U11)

 

MINI KICKERS (U8) + MIGHTY KICKERS (U9) + MEGA KICKERS (U10/U11)

For players that turn 8, 9, 10 and 11years of age in the year which the program starts. The program starts in mid-August and runs until the end of November. Players will practice twice a week with game days on Saturday. All programming is contained within Abbotsford, although some additional exhibition games against neighboring clubs within the Fraser Valley are arranged from time to time.

Registration for the Mini/Mighty/Mega Kickers program runs from mid-February until June 15th.

 

SUPER 8’S (U10-U12)

U10 – U12 TIER 1 – COMPETITIVE

For players that turn 10, 11 and 12 years of age in the year which the program starts. The program starts in mid-August and runs until the end of March. Players practice twice a week with games on Saturday. Teams in this program travel to Surrey, Coquitlam, Port Moody for some games. Players pay an additional ‘development’ fee for the appointment of a full-time staff coach.

Registration for the U10-U12 Selects program runs from mid-February until June 15th.

 

U11 & U12 – COMMUNITY

For players that turn 10, 11 and 12 years of age in the year which the program starts. The program starts in mid-August and runs until the end of March. Players practice once a week with games on Saturday. Teams in this program travel within the Fraser Valley for games.

 

Registration for the U11/U12 Community program runs from mid-February until June 15th.

 

DIVISIONAL TEAM (U13-U18)

 DIV1 + DIV2 – DEVELOPMENT 

For players that turn 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, or 18 years of age in the year which the program starts. The program starts in mid-August and runs until the end of March. Players practice twice a week with games on Saturday or Sunday. Teams in this program travel across the lower mainland. Teams in this program will receive the oversight of a Club Staff Coach.

 

DIV3 + DIV4 – COMMUNITY

For players that turn 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, or 18 years of age in the year which the program starts. The program starts in mid-August and runs until the end of March. Players practice once a week with games on Saturday or Sunday. Teams in this program travel across the lower mainland. Teams in this program have the option of purchasing time with a Club Staff Coach.

 

Registration for the Divisional Team program runs from mid-February until June 15th.

SENIOR TEAM PROGRAM – FALL (Sept-Mar)

 

MALE TEAMS

The Fraser Valley Men’s League (FVSL) is the body that runs all men’s competitive soccer in our region, during the Fall season (Sept-Mar). The Divisional levels of FVSL include Premier, which is the top, followed in descending order with Div1 & Div2. The Divisions 3 & 4 offer sub-divisions of A, B, C and are usually arranged by geography.  There is an U21 Division and also over 35’s division referred to as Masters, which has a Premier, Div1 and Div2.

 

For the 2014/15 season AMFSC will have the following teams in the FVSL;

FEMALE TEAMS

The Metro Women’s Soccer League (MWSL) is the body that runs all women’s competitive & recreational soccer within the lower mainland. The Division levels can include Premier, which is the top, Selects A + B which is under Premier followed in descending order with Div1, 2, 3, 4. Within the Divisions 1-3, there are several sub-divisions of A, B, C. In Div4 & U21 there is Gold or Silver. The women’s league also offers an Over 30’s division called Classics. The Classics has Gold, Silver & Bronze divisions.

SENIOR TEAM PROGRAM – SUMMER (Apr-July)

The Pacific Coast Soccer League (PCSL) is the body that runs all Men’s & Women’s competitive soccer within the lower mainland. The PCSL has two divisions for each gender Premier & Reserve.

 

For the 2014 Season AMFSC will have the following teams in the PCSL;
