Youth To Adult Transition Info
U18 is the highest level of youth soccer. If a player wishes to continue playing at the age of 18+ the natural progression is into the adult leagues. The adult leagues are quite a bit different from youth. Some adult teams hold tryouts and some just take on players based on their skill level.
The Metro Women’s Soccer League (www.mwsl.com) is the body that runs all women’s competitive & recreational soccer within the lower mainland. The Division levels can include Premier, which is the top, Selects A + B which is under Premier followed in descending order with Div1, 2, 3, 4. Within the Divisions 1-3, there are several sub-divisions of A, B, C. In Div4 & U21 there is Gold or Silver. The women’s league also offers an Over 30’s division called Classics. The Classics has Gold, Silver & Bronze divisions.
For the 2014/15 season AMFSC will have the following teams in the MWSL;
The Fraser Valley Men’s League (www.fraservalleysoccer.com) is the body that runs all men’s competitive soccer in our region. The Division levels can include Premier, which is the top followed in descending order with Div1 & Div2. The Divisions 3 & 4 have sub-divisions of A, B, C and are usually arranged by geography. There is an U21 Division and also over 35’s division referred to as Masters, which has a Premier, Div1 and Div2.
For the 2014/15 season AMFSC will have the following teams in the FVSL;
U21 OR Div4 (2nd Team)
