The fall phase begins September 22 running for 11 sessions.  Training is Fridays 5:30 to 6:45 pm at Matsqui Recreation Centre in Abbotsford.

The Whitecaps Fraser Valley Academy provides supplemental club training for motivated boys and girls led by Whitecaps Academy Mainland Head Coach, Craig Angus. Angus is also a staff coach with the Whitecaps Residency program. Supporting Craig will be Maia Vink, Girls Academy Associate Head Coach and Girls Elite staff member. Additional staff will support the program.”

“We’re looking for motivated players who want to take their game to the next level and want more opportunities”.  says Angus.   “This includes our HPP (High Potential Prospects) Program which provides opportunities to represent the club at various events throughout the year”.

As a major stakeholder in the BCSPL with BC Soccer, the Whitecaps objective of the academy is to train and profile players for inclusion into BCSPL Fraser Valley Premier and support local partnered academy programs.

Ian Knight, Technical Director for the Abbotsford Soccer Association adds:

While the ASA fully supports and endorses multi-sport activity & development of our membership, we are delighted to partner with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC, in establishing the FV Pre-Prospects Academy.

This initiative will allow the dedicated Grassroots soccer player to aspire to the next level of the game and we are delighted that our respective Discoveries & Excel Player Academy programs will offer a terrific support and pathway to our aspiring membership.”
