The ASA Summer Camp program will be delivering a curriculum that follows Canada Soccer & LTPD principles for the
respective age groups. With the use of several fun, game-based activities, each of the sessions will involve elements of
physical literacy, technical proficiency and game play.
U4-U5 (2020/2021)
Teaching the fundamentals of soccer is made play-based through these innovative and creative soccer camps. The
curriculum offers a creative, game-based, and fun learning environment for young children to grow their passion for soccer
and discover new ways to celebrate their creativity and self-exploration. The practice theme changes each week to reflect
the uniqueness and to empower young children! These game-based sessions involve skill development when it comes to
dribbling, passing, control, turning, and shooting. Beyond skill development, agility, balance, and coordination are
fundamental to every session and made enjoyable through togetherness and teamwork.
U6/U7 + U8/U9 (2018/2019 + 2016/2017)
Teaching the basic fundamentals of soccer with a high emphasis on fun and enjoyment of the game.
Skill Development; Dribbling, passing, control, turning & shooting
Physical Literacy; Agility, balance, coordination
All elements are coached via the use of fun games and activities designed to allow maximum self- exploration and
discovery by the players.
U10-U14 (2011-2015)
Daily Technical Skills (Days1-4)
Passing and Receiving skills (different types of passes over a variety of distances)
Finishing skills (different types of finishing over a variety of distances & angles)
Connecting the “What” to the “Why” – understanding how to apply specific skills within game
Educating attention – enhancing game understanding
The Player’s Day (Day 5)
A combination of player-designed and player-led games/drills concluding with a mini-world cup event. An excellent way to end the week and demonstrate all skills learned!!
Players are not considered registered until payment has been received, or a payment plan is in place.
